Sinan (they/them) is a New York based singer, songwriter and actor from Istanbul, Turkey. Blending the energy of dance-pop and expressiveness of musical theatre, Sinan’s work is a unique world of questioning. EVERYTHING. Their work challenges politics and power, revolving around themes of contemporary society and the future of the planet. Through wacky and futuristic anthems, Sinan’s music is about the fight to change.
Sinan is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts where they earned their MFA in the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. Also, Sinan is one of the selected graduates of UNESCO Aladdin Project International University for Intercultural Leadership, holding the title of UNESCO Ambassador for Intercultural Dialogue and Peace. Additionally, Sinan earned a BA in Visual Arts and Communication Design with a minor in Art Theory and Criticism in Sabanci University, and a professional certificate on Violin Performance from Istanbul State Conservatory.
Sinan has performed at venues such as Manhattan Nublu and Rattlestick Theater where they also made their Off-Broadway debut with their song "Zero Irving." Recently, Sinan performed in "STARSONG" as part of NYC Global Forms Theatre Festival. Sinan’s artistic highlights include Playbook Hub Artist Competition Music Video of the Country, Best Actor and Best Music in National Youth Theatre Festival in Turkey. Sinan's currently working on releasing singles from their solo show Sinarchy World United.
